Storytelling at 300

After six years, we’ve made it to the 300 mark! And we can’t thank you enough for listening. As we do with each landmark episode, we choose a topic off of the horror path. This time, it’s storytelling, which actually has much to do about the genre. And, um, as Dr. Seuss would say, this is 300 plus 6. Due to pertinent horror issues to discuss, we didn’t get this storytelling episode until now.

Comics and More and Moore

When it comes to the art of storytelling, we found ourselves going into that medium that’s the midway point between the written word and the big screen: comic books. We’ll discuss the works of Alan Moore, Neil Adams, Frank Miller, and Howard Chaykin. We’ll also dive into horror films from David Lynch, David Cronenberg, among others. And when it comes to the offbeat and bizarre, we certainly couldn’t leave out the great J.G. Ballard. So listen in relax, and we hope we tell a good enough story to keep you thrilled. And we can’t thank you enough for listening in and helping us get this far. We definitely appreciate the horror love!

Jack Nance keeps it surreal in David Lynch’s Eraserhead.
