All about Crash Palace: I’m actually one person, a multi-award-winning screenwriter of horror, crime, and thrillers, I have written and/or produced and/or directed several short films, have helped produced a crime thriller television series on Amazon Prime, have written horror for television, and have supported many independent horror films through Crash Palace Productions.
As a former assistant professor, I have had several academic articles on horror published in international journals, and I have presented the work at academic conferences.
My hard-boiled crime thriller series, Kink Noir, has won all first place awards from the LA Neo Noir Novel, Script, and Film Festival in 2016 for Bloodletting with the Grand Jury Prize, and in 2020, the sequels Punishment and Debauchery both tied for Best Novel.
The Last Knock Horror Podcast
When not writing or planning a film project, I’m co-host of The Last Knock horror podcast with film critic Jonny Numb. Entertainment Weekly considers the show to be one of the “5 essential podcasts for horror fans.” The show is available from this site, as well as Spotify, iTunes, and more. The Last Knock has run from May 2013, and we are approaching 400 episodes of horror film reviews and discussions, as well as horror interviews with celebrities, filmmakers, and authors.
Film Development
Crash Palace has produced many independent film and episodic projects. In addition, I wrote for Macabre Theatre for one season. More films are in development, and Crash Palace will continue to produce The Last Knock.
Wishing I could afford to eat sushi every day and hand out scholarships to my students like candy, I’m an Assistant Professor of English at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.
