The Ritual: Does it Live Up to the Novel?

Several years ago, Adam Nevill’s novel, The Ritual made an impression upon horror fans around the globe. This year, Netflix released the feature version of the narrative.

The Last Knock podcast takes a close look at The Ritual, including its themes and characters, as well as how it complements the book.

But there’s far more to the tale than mere comparisons…

The story follows a group of friends on an excursion that takes them off the beaten trail in Sweden. However, the crux of the story concerns Luke (Rafe Spall) as he fights his inner demons.

Billy and Jonny take a look at the novel, the film, and the themes of the story, from friendship and personal scrutiny, to Luke’s name and judgment.

Beyond the end credits, we’ll also discuss the nightmare that may have followed and how a character may cope with the fallout.

No rain weather gear needed with this trip. Just kick back and indulge in The Ritual with Billy and Jonny as your tour guides.

Okay, maybe you should be worried…
