THE LAST KNOCK horror podcast opens the door to Raw and The Bad Batch…

Raw

Raw, aka Grave, is the French/Belgian/Italian horror from writer/director Julia Ducournau that rocked 2017. But does it live up to the hype? Billy and Jonny take a look at the story of Justine (Garance Marillier) and her first year as a vegetarian at a prestigious veterinary school. Freshmen have to endure some hazing Hell, and her older sister, Alexia (Ella Rumpf) doesn’t do much when it comes to protecting Justine. Even so, you’ve never seen a higher education tale quite like this one, especially since the students run the institution while faculty and staff remain stoic and distant.

The Bad Batch

Suki Waterhouse limps forward in her desert road venture as Arlen in Ana Lily Amirpour’s sophomore horror effort. In 2014, Amirpour wrote and directed the dynamic horror arthouse western, A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, with its phenomenal black-and-white dreamscape. Can The Bad Batch recapture that fire with a strong futuristic tale featuring Aquaman’s Jason Momoa, Keanu Reeves, Giovanni Ribisi, and an incredible performance by the elastic Jim Carrey? THE LAST KNOCK horror podcast has all the answers you need.
