Night of the Living Dead at 50
On October 1, 1968, Night of the Living Dead premiered at the Fulton Theatre in Pittsburgh.
Made in Evans City, Pennsylvania, outside of Pittsburgh, George A. Romero’s ghoul-laden feature film reached iconic status.
The story, co-written by John A. Russo, features a group of people trapped in a farmhouse as the undead begin to shamble on the face of the earth.
Undead Legacy
Night of the Living Dead initiated a new take on zombie lore for fans to explore while giving independent filmmakers clear indication that they could make their own movie.
But there’s so much more to Romero’s horror and its legacy.
