Jed Brian had an idea for a horror film, and unlike other potential auteurs who say they’re going to make a movie, he followed through. Supportive friends and family help him bring his first feature, Unlisted Owner to horror fans, but if it wasn’t for Jed’s drive and determination, the project never would’ve been fulfilled.
Based on a story idea by Jed Brian, Unlisted Owner came about after he teamed up with friend, Tyler Landers to write the screenplay. In the film, a group of friends break into an abandoned home after its family had been murdered to see what they could catch on camera.
Found footage aficionados love the realism that comes along with the sub-genre – as long as the acting’s solid and dialogue realistic, and these elements were part of Jed Brian’s focus. This means Unlisted Owner should satisfy the most critical of found footage fans.
Writer, director, producer, and so much more, Jed Brian talks with Billy Crash and how he took an idea and made it into a viable film for horror fans. They’ll discuss the ups and downs of production and post-production – and what happened on a visit to Los Angeles that earned Unlisted Owner distribution.
