THE LAST KNOCK opens the door to Horror Television…

Tune into Horror Television

Horror television hasn’t always been easy to find, and when you did, it was most certainly of the family friendly variety.

Even so, homes across the land engaged in many evening shows from the 1960s to the present that have tantalized our minds. Whether drama based or with a splashes of comedy, horror has made its way onto the small screen – and has done quite well there to say the least.

Don’t Touch that Channel!

Thanks to the proliferation of cable television, horror television has matured to the point where the tamed has given way to full-blown R-rated fare. Horror fans can find an array of episodic shows that are either active, from American Horror Story and The Walking Dead, to shows in syndication from Buffy the Vampire Slayer to Kolchak: The Night Stalker. Better still, if you love practical effects with intense gore, wit, comedy, and more, you can always count on three seasons of Ash vs Evil Dead.

We’ll take a look at horror television shows that may have slipped under your thrill-seeking radar, and see what did well, what didn’t, and why 30-minute episodes may bring the best blood for your buck.
