A Knight to Remember
Twenty-five years ago, HBO’s successful horror series, Tales from the Crypt made it to the big screen with Demon Knight. Starring Billy Zane and William Sadler, the cast also included the renowned CCH Pounder, comedian Charles Fleischer, the always impressive Dick Miller, and up and comers Jada Pinkett Smith and Thomas Haden Church.
Directed by Ernest Dickerson, Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight filled the gap when the series went on hiatus. With an extra hour to play out a tale of horror and laughs on screen, the film’s loaded with mystery, action, adventure, and a kitchen sink of practical effects.
Getting its Due
