What happens after we die? If we knew that, maybe many people wouldn’t be afraid of their own end.
Death may come for us all, and as we get closer to our final destination, year after year, many contemplate what comes next because we’ve witnessed others pass on.
We’ve played witness to seeing family members, friends, and animal companions face death. Besides seeing them go, we may hate ourselves because there isn’t a damn thing we can do for them.
The horror genre has explored death from the beginning, bringing us ghost stories, the undead, and full throttle carnage.
The Last Knock explores the horror films that get to us the most by helping us face our own mortality. Most important, when it comes to death, Billy and Jonny share their own experiences with the thing we can’t escape.
Yes, they’re open and raw and bare their souls, but we hope the catharsis will help others and even open a dialogue.
After all, horror fans face death with every damn movie. There has to be a reason for why we love a genre where there’s a body in every picture. And we’ll explore that too.
