In 75-minutes, we talk about such comic notables like Neil Gaiman and Alan Moore. We also include other great storytellers, such as Daniel Clowes, Charles Burns, Robert Crumb, and even Harvey Pekar.
We take a long look at the power of comic books, their value (in a literary sense), and how they can be phenomenal teaching tools. Regarding the literary angle, we’ll discuss Maus, Persepolis, Watchmen, and more.
And we’ll also see how the amazing Howard Chaykin helped open the door for Frank Miller and comic books with more adult themes.
Of course we’ll also discuss movie adaptations from both DC and Marvel.
