Best Horror Films 2018
Yes, it’s The Last Knock‘s awards show, or something like that. Anyway, it’s Best Horror Films 2018, where they look at the greatest examples in the horror genre from this past year.
After watching nearly 100 new releases, Billy and Jonny each have their own separate set of winners. They looked at both commercial and independent fare. And the sub-genres included everything from slashers to psychological, and ghost stories to the abstract. Or whatever else floated out there.
How Winners are Chosen
It’s simple: A great story inhabited with great characters lands movies on best horror films 2018.
Sure, special effects are great, as well as cool locations. But in the end, without a great story, there isn’t a movie to begin with.
And The Last Knock could give a damn about studio marketing or social media hype. If the movie works, it works regardless of budget or star power.
And if a film fails, it ends up on the Worst Horror Films 2018 list, which is our next show, of course.
