The Last Knock

It’s hard to believe that the oppressive creepfest, The Eyes of My Mother is the feature film debut of writer/director Nicholas Pesce. Using black-and-white digital photography to capture the mood, we follow Francisca (Kika Magalhaes and Olivia Bond) on her coming of age journey that goes horribly wrong. The Eyes of My Mother is a dramatic horror of unsettling proportions, and we’ll go behind the story to bring you the story…

This sounds irresistibly creepy! The imagery alone makes this a must-see for me and my own eyes, and the descriptive review and discussion between Crash and Jonny have ensured I am adding this one to my list now! Terrific show again, you guys!

  3. This sounds like one Ambo will like. She is beyond being shocked by any horror film. Not me, so much, but I find myself craving it fortnightly after caching your show.
I do watch trailers, and the ones for this are plenty brutal… outright twisted. Isn’t it amazing how any film in classic black and white has become irresistable, to me, at least. Horror appears to be a perfecr genre for B&W.
Always a great show and this one is as well.

Thank you so much, my friend. I’d love to know what you think about the movie when you get to it.

And you’re right, black-and-white for horror is near perfect. The contrasts between light and shadow can create amazing images.

Hey fellas, is there a download option for this episode? Unless I’m just missing it, I don’t see one. I see it on other recent episodes.

So very sorry. I had major technical issues that are still beyond my comprehension.

However, our gremlins and goblins are working diligently to make certain it doesn’t happen again.
